Okay so I had an interview today at 11:30 for this Life Insurance Company, Which is a little weird because for one I don't recall applying for the job but I went anyways because I really need a job... So upon my arrival... I sit there waiting patiecely for the person who is suppose to interview me.. But over hear in the other room I hear this is basically an advertising job where you will go door to door to get people to buy insurance for some amount of money... Well when I go into the interview.. I was asked about my Customer Service skills, which are fine I work fast food, book stores, and receptionist positions... When he asked if I would be willing to get certified in selling Insurance I told him yes. I was just asking my insurance Company the other day if they where HIRING.. and she told me how easy it was and the cost... When I asked him about the Receptionist position or the Data Entry job he said they were not hiring for that they were hiring for Customer Service Reps. to go out door to door and bug people to buy Life Insurance... I am sorry but that was not for me.. I am currently pregnant and I am in alot of stress and strain.. I don't see that fit for me.. I was told on the phone this position was an office job.. He said no.. He did not know who told me that but he appoligized... But he would like to see if I was interest in this position.. upon my response or NO... I can't do it.. I don't have the money and this company was not willing to help pay for any of the expense's either.. I told him I am sorry for waisting each others time.. But I was seeking an office position more of a lad back position with some moderate work.. He told me that he was sorry but he didn't have anything of the kind of position at the time.. So I drove all the way from Terry,MS to Ridgeland,MS which is like 45 mins from my house for a job interview that was False Advertisement.. I am sorry but I want to know the whole truth the next time I go to a job interview.. I don't have the time or the gas to be wasting.. Espically today with it raining and all groggy outside.. I would have perferred to stay home and be with my family..
So Here is my advice whenever you get a phone call about seeing your resume or even applying for the job. Ask the company name, phone number, and the position and which you applied for... Then go back and see if you did apply for such a job and then you'll know if its just false advertisement.. I hope that these people do get people to do it.. but not i....
